New products go live!

It’s been a while coming, but we’re happy to annouce our newest range of cushions have gone into the online store, after a debut at the recent designed; made market on Hobart’s waterfront a month ago.

We have 45cm and 60cm cushions, in our new colour palette and with new print designs, all inspired by the Latin American folk-art look of rough-hewn geometrics. Hence the name of our little cushions as Aztec Triangles!

We also have a brand new product: vegetable storage bags, made from our lovely breathable (and washable) hemp-organic cotton with a cotton drawstring. The bags feature a tumble of hand-drawn vegetables and come in slate, ocean and tomato.

Meanwhile, we have yet another new product coming shortly, and not a minute too soon as winter kicks in with its chill draughts sliding under doors and stealing your warmth. Stay tuned!

designed; made market tomorrow!

We’ll be at the designed; made market tomorrow at Hobart’s Princess Wharf, Shed 1 (PW1 to those in the know!) from 9:30 - 3:30. It’s a huge and exciting line-up, with some tempting lunch and snack options to keep you sated while you shop. Come down and say hi, have a wander, check out a sampling of Hobart’s talented makers! It’s a great day out in a great venue, and we have a few brand new products to launch, new prints and a new season colour palette, as well as some end-of-season bargains!!

A gelato shade of winter.

Well, after some intensive days in the studio with tubs of base ink, spatulas and most importantly, syringes (there’s no point mixing up a fabulous colour if you don’t have a precise recipe for recreating it!), we have our new whopping ten-colour winter palette matched up to our Pantone inspiration colours and we have to say, we’re pretty pleased with how they’ve turned out! We have a few colour pairs already in mind for upcoming cushion prints, but there are any number of ways these colours can team up and be deliciously pleasing! We’ve toned down some of the brights we had over summer and developed a few new colours to boot (our take on pink and purple are new hues to the smith+purton stable!), and overall I think it’s a nice body of gelato-style colours!

Now we can get cracking with printing up our four new prints: two fat quarters destined for cushions, craft fabric and other small textile products, a large cushion print and a brand new product…but that’s another post!
